Irish ales are dark and rich in colour but are smooth and developed as an every day beer. A complex blend of imported hops and roasted barley give this ale a light aroma and bittersweet finish.

"This isn't an Irish ale in the sense that it is made in small town Canada. It is clear, red, and the head is minimal at best. The aroma is slightly on the sour side, with nuts and hops. The flavour is alright, some nutty malt and a bitter finish."

"Bottle: Poured a deep clear brown color ale with an average foamy head with some average retention and no lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with no discernable hops and some dry malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined grain notes with a somewhat dry finish. Body is a bit thin but with some average carbonation. Not as bad as some other beers form this brewery but too plain and boring for my taste buds."

"650ml bottle
5.0% ABV
I tried this beer on March 18, 2008 after purchasing from my one of local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a beautiful translucent dark red colour with a very thin white head that dissipates quite quickly. The aroma was roasted malt, and some nutty hints. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, with high carbonation. The flavour was all over the place, there was roasted malt, some soapy sourness, and a little hint of bitterness."

"Copper body with little cap. Slightly sour aroma with minor nut and malt notes. Watery mouthfeel. Flavour profile starts watery and slightly sour, moves to a tasty but mild malt body and finishes with an odd bitter-sour taste. Easy drinking, but the overt mildness does it in."

"Bottle from LCBO- Root beer pour with a thick and foamy, albeit short lived mocha head. Mildly roasted nutty aroma with some faint malts and beef broth. Slightly roasty sweet nut and malt flavour. Mildly hopped with some bitterness. Finish is actually pretty tasty if you can get past how watery it is."
