"Sampled from a bottled stamped 1/8/08. The pour is orange/red with an effervescent, thin white head that dissipates and caps the beer nicely. Aroma is of piney hops and orange peel. I have no idea what an imperial amber is. The taste is phenomenol with an explosion of piney and grapefruity hops accompanied with a nice smooth but IPA-ish acidic mouthfeel. This is easily sessionable. I wish there was another 'imperial amber' to compare this too. It's certainly hoppier than red ales such as Hop Head Red and Rocket Red. I was worried that the bottle with about 8 months on it would suffer from fading hops, but not so. This is a really, really good beer."

"An orange beer with a thick white head. The aroma is lovely hoppy and grassy. While the flavor is a dry hoppy and grassy on a malt and caramel background. The after taste is good with lots of hops, but I find the flavor in general a bit light."

"Bottle courtesy of Sammy: Poured a deep amber/orangey color ale with nice foamy head with some good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bitter hops is well balance with some malt. Taste is a good enough mix between some semi-sweet malt and some citrus and bitter hops. Full body with some medium carbonation. Overall, while I thought this was interesting beer, I still think it lack some hops to make this as hoppy as they claim it is."

"Why can't these guys just label their beer an IPA? I mean...an Imperial Brown? This is about as far away from a brown ale as you can get. A really nice beer here. A prominintly hoppy nose with a strong emphasis on grapefruity hops, but the piney hops are also present and it's carried by sweet caramel hops. Appearance is a nice dark orange/amber color with a good one finger off-white head. The beer has a very pleasant balance between hops and malt, but it does have this underlying astringent factor, however minor but still there. At any rate, if I think about this beer in terms of a Brown Ale, it's out-of-this-world good. In terms of an IPA (which it is) then it's an above average IPA. Nice stuff."

"Poured an amber color with small head great lacing throughout. Aroma was of pine and citrus hops. Flavor was caramel and the citrus and pine hops. Good balance and not to sweet. Good IPA it was stronger then i thought it was going to be.
