"I was actually quite liking this one. Poured yellow pilsner color with a bunch of fizzy bubbles obscurring it's clearness. Aroma of malt and grassiness came from the pour. Nice yellow head, lacing all over the glass. The flavor was a nice...lemony, grassy, floral with a really crisp pronounced hop bite. Refreshing!"

"Okay, when I first cracked this one I got hints of skunkiness which is never good. The aroma is grassy with only faint skunk with much saaz coming through with good amounts of sweet maltiness. The appearance is a rich golden yellow and classic for this style with a fuzzy and full head on top that only diminishes slightly leaving a thin head on top. The mouthfeel is smooth and wet-like with some light hoppy complexity with a palate that is nice and covers nicely. The flavor is malty with some sweetness and faint saaz hops with an aftertaste that is a bit watery with a finish that is refreshing and smooth. Overall, a very good brew here for sure but it is a bit too unoffensize and needs more hop assertiveness and is a little too bland and maybe on the watery side, however, better than its mass-produced counterparts."

"This beer is a keller bier or cellar beer. It is an unfiltered pilsner that has a wonderful, vibrant, bitter Saaz hop flavor and aroma. Saaz hops have that very zesty, spicy, "fresh cut grass" character to them. They are in this beer in abundance. This beer is also keg and bottled conditioned, giving it a very lively carbonation. I love this beer, I always get a pint at the brew pub attached to the brewery, and often fill my growler to go with this beer.
Tupper's Hop Pocket Pils pours to an opaque, bright yellow color, with a nice white head, and very lively carbonation. The nose on this beer hits you from a mile away, SAAZ, SAAZ and more SAAZ. Very fragrant zesty, spicy hop aromas flood the nose. The palate is a very crisp and clean malt back bone of pilsner malt, biscuit like and grainy. This is a lager, so it is very round, and clean on the tongue. The finish, as intense as the nose. More wonderful, long, dry, zesty, "fresh cut grass" hop bitterness tattoo the taste buds and linger for quite some time.
You love hops? You'll love this beer. This beer is the perfect aperitif, as dry as a martini. I would match this beer with very spicy fare such as Thai, or maybe extra hot Buffalo wings. This beer is very vibrant, and is just bursting with intense hop aroma and flavor. Really a wonderful beer, from a wonderful brewery.

"12.04.04 12oz bottle. Don’t know when this stuff started showing up in NJ, but I’m not sad about it. Pale straw with some hazy clouding and a big, fluffy, white head. Pure lemongrass aroma with hints of fresh grains and banana pepper. Not much visible eff. Fresh and sharp flavors. Brisk, refresing, crisp citrus and bell pepper. Very enjoyable brew."

"Who would have thought that I'd have had to drink a pilsener to make up for a bad experience with a stout? (see my Lawson Creek Vanilla Cream Stout review) Pours beautifully. Large fluffy white head floats over the pale gold body. There seems like there may have been a little yeast in the bottle, but liquid in the glass remains clear. Everything is bright and shiny. Head lingers. There's some lemon on the nose, and a slight soapiness. Peppery (white, mostly) hops dominate the flavor, which is crisp and clean. It's quite hoppy and bitter, and a slight pine resin-like flavor makes me believe that they used more than just noble hops. Along with the Glacier BrewHouse's pilsener, this helps prove to me that not all beers of the style suck."
