"Pours a richer gold than the regular Tusker. Still very little head. After the skunkiness dissipates, there’s actually a little hop bitterness to this one. A bit corny, but not really bad."

"Good malt aroma but could use more. Sight biscuity smell with a touch fruit and some pee on deep whiffs. Has a weak unlear gold - maybe nearer to straw colour, poured a big creamy white cap that has really good retention the entire time and produces nice ropy lacing. Mouthfeel is really smooth and creamy. Medium light body. Taste is a bit of a let down since I was expecting a more profound malt flavour, but better than I expected for overall goodness. Either way, there is still plenty of malt taste that is backed by an obvious quantity of mild hops. The after taste is a bit odd with a sweet earthiness and slight bitterness which all fades quickly. Decent enough beer. I'd buy it on occasion if I could."

"I spent alot of time in Africa for work and therefore had opportunity to sample many of their local brews. To summarize; it's alot like Mexico - these are hot climates where quenching beers are desired by most drinkers. The result is you get alot of Corona-like brews, many with adjuncts added that are all the same.
This particular beer has a bit more character and therefore, isn't one of the more popular in Kenya's rotation. Much more reminescent of a German lager than it's African kin. It's golden in color with a full white head that lasts awhile. Every bottle I tried was slightly skunky in the nose but not so much that it covered the hops and malt completely. Malty flavor throughout with a mild aftertaste, slightly bitter. Not too bad if you find yourself in Kenya someday."
