"Big thanks to Beerhunter for hooking this up via trade, my first wheatwine was a nice experience. Aroma of fruits (orange, banana, and lemon) some spices as well. Body was a hazy orange, with a few floaters, head was thin and soapy, left some lace. Flavor was bit unexpected (considering the aroma) with a spicy earthiness. Nice full mouthfeel, with a smooth finish. Overall I was plesantly suprised, this was a nice brew, and style. Thanks again to Shawn!"

"Pours a bright, semi hazey orange colour with a medium sized white head. Great amount of lacing, very sweet aromas, of bananna, oranges, coriander and touch of lemon. nice pleasent, creamy mouthfeel, moderately carbonated, not as sour or tart as most barleywines ive had. I was confused with the barley wine title, but now i understand what a wheatwine is like. Decent."

"A bit soapy in the aroma. Nice amber body, but the head is lacking. the alcohol almost unbalances the rest fo the beer. This is lighter and not quite the flavor powerhouse of the other barleywines, but it's got something going for it. It's kind of like a giant hefeweizen and I like it."

"I have had both 2001 and 2004 vintages. Both are very similar. Pours a light orange with sediment and a thin light colored head. The aroma is bready with a slight lemony citrus and banana normally found in hefe’s. There is also some deep mushroom and earth. The taste has sweet apples, cherries, vanilla and a smooth orange. The finish is slightly dry. A nice sticky mouthfeel."
