A traditional abbey ale brewed in the classic "Triple" style of Belgium's Trappist Monks. This golden pale ale is mellow-bitter with lightly perfumed aromas and some spicy yeast notes. Rich and fruity with a soft mouthfeel.

"This is part of the St. Bernardus mixed 6 pack I purchased. Pours a cloudy, murky golden color. Nice amount of head and lacing. Faint fruity, citrus aroma. Sweet and tangy citrus flavor with a quick alcohol rush. Touch of malts, vanilla and a grainy yeast note. A little tart. It's pretty easy drinking and refreshing. Overall I'd give it a slightly above average overall mark but that's it. I'd have it again but for the price I'm sure I can find better. "

"Aroma is weak but pleasantly malty with hints of fruit - apple or pear. Color is orangy amber with a fairly thick but not persistent head. Flavor is rich, malty and fruity, with some nutty undertones and just a hint of hop bitterness. Texture is smooth and tingly, and the aftertaste is fairly fruity with just a hint of bitter and a touch of nuttiness. Very pleasing."

"Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Yeast and fruits in aroma. Fruits, alcohol and yeast in flavour. The yeast fits in excellently in this beer and balances up the sweetness it would be without. Quite oily palate though. "

"Gold body, very sudsy white head. Some cloudiness to the body. The aroma has that wonderful belgian yeast, with a bit of spice and malt backing it up. Clean mouth, thin to medium body. The taste is quite simple, with some malts and spice, but the finish just... ends. There's nothing there to impress. Easy drinking though."

"Pours a hazy golden color. Lots of sediment. Nice haed at first. It didn't roar up like most good belgians tend to do, but aftre pouring it, it looks nice. Good lacing too. The aroma is weak. All i can pick up is yeast and some pear-like aroma. The taste is excellent however. It may not compare to some Tripels, but this one has plenty of character. Spices dominate this with the yeast leaving a distinct taste in yr mouth....(a pleasant taste though)....it took a few sips to taste what the aroma was trying to hint at, but pears and other fruity flavors start to show..as well as some carmel and maltiness. Its not the most complex Tripel out there by any means, but it is an enjoyable one for sure. Full mouthfeel on this one as well adds to it for sure."
