"Vegas '08 trip
Poured out a modest light bubbly tan head, hazy caramel brew (dead on weizen look) - wasn't totally sure what I was gonna see with this as it's my first D-W but I think that the colour of this beer is excellent. Minimal lacing. Subdued aromas of bananas, cloves and vanilla extract (weakest of the three scents) and plums. The taste is pretty good and I wish I had a keg of this as it goes down waaaay to easy. Solid flavour that does not back down but never ever gets close to actually being strong as this is one soft beer. Bananas, wheat, toasty malts, cloves, pepper and a touch of orange. Medium bodied, velvety smooth throughout and finishes with a bit of coating. Good stuff!"

"Pours a dark, opaque, golden brown with a thick, foamy, pale tan head. Nice, fairly strong aroma is wheaty, malty and "rubbery" with hints of orange and spice. Flavor is rich, wheaty and malty, and has a spicy and orangy undertone. Texture is very smooth, and finish is pleasing and satisfying."

"Tried this yesterday after trying the Julius Echter dunkel, although this was good, i prefered the Echter. If i had tried this one alone i probably would have scored it higher. It pours a murky brown body with a mid off white cap that had brown specks in it. A few yeast floaters and minimal carbonation. Aroma and flavors were mild toffe, banana, and a little clove. Mouthfeel was on the thin side. Overall it was fairly decent and i will try it again in the future."

"Another reddish-brown bodied beer. The head pours into the glass with a tannish frothiness that stays around for awhile. Soft yeast, banana and stale bread on the nose. Creamy. Drinkable beer that hits the palate with spices, fruit and a sourness that is not that overbearing."

"brown colour topped with a rich and creamy off-white foam. Cloves and banana in the aroma with touches of toasted malts and dark fruit. Medium to light-bodied with with strong notes of cloves and banana with undertones of nuts, all-spice, almonds and toasted malts. Lively carbonation, of course. Over-riped banana, cloves and toasted malts in the aftertaste Pretty good but I still looking for a Dunkelweizen that blows my socks off..."
