Our Flagship - America's Original Hefeweizen
A golden unfiltered wheat beer that is truly cloudy and clearly superb. Ever since Widmer introduced Hefeweizen to America in 1986, ours has been the standard by which all other Hefeweizens are judged.

"Pours cloudy golden yellow with medium sized white head that dissipates quickly. Tastes of grainy malt and some slight citrus, but otherwise rather bland and smooth. I think if you need to add a lemon then they didn’t add enough of the right hops"

""Pick-A-Six" time: #6 - Widemer Hefeweizen: Last one in pack one. Aroma is nice but nothing special, Fluffy head, Goes down smooth but slightly dryer than most beers, Taste is of bananas and coffee. Its decent but not great. Average score only. Will drink if offered to me."

"Not much on appeareance. Cloudy yellowish orange body holding up a weak white head with little staying power and thin lacing. So what about the nose and palate? Faint wheat malt and not much hops. This uneventful bear finishes with a bitter aftertaste. Not refreshing."
