A special blend of 50% wheat malt and 50% barley gives this beer its hazy, golden colour, fresh sharpe taste and a touch of citrus character. At 4.5% alc./vol. the choice is clear. The beer isn't.

"Comes in a 1liter ceramic stopper bottles...advertised as an unfiltered wheat ale....You're expecting a Hefe weiss..right?
Poured a cloudy light straw color, attractive puffy cap but did not stack out of the glass like a German weissbier.
Aromas were subdued but pleasant....sweet gassy smells, bready malts.. not much fruit aroma.
Starts with a tart pilsner-like character (citrusy, dry and effervessant) then slumped to a silky fluid body...the finish crisp and dry from unmalted wheat.... a nice lingering toasty-bready after taste.
Light and very drinkable wheat infused beer . However at this price you can buy a real German weizen....have to get the price down on this one to make it a pub staple of mine."

"Tried a sample of this draft, first time I have seen on tap. Light color, with cloudy, unfiltered appearance you would expect from a wheat beer. Very unique aroma - kind of sour citrus. Someone at the table described it as rotten fruit, but not sure which fruit. Taste continues this sour lemon and citrus flavor, almost a tart finish with some hoppiness. Kind of similar to Hoegarden as far as the citrus, but not a clone. Will be interested to see if the bottled version is the same."
