Amber in colour this hoppy and fruity beer is packed full of flavour and has a smooth, clean finish. 100% malt brew: Maris Otter and crystal malt, Fuggle and Golding hops. After fermentation this fine ale is dry hopped with English Pilgrim hops creating its distinctive hoppy charachter. St George's Ale is available through Spring and early Summer (14 March – 27 May).

"The brew poured a dark amber, with a nice white foamy heath that stuck around a while. Nice full flowery hop scent with mild malt. Mouth feel is medium to full bodied. The flavor is a nice caramel with spicy hops."

""This new discovery had all of the characteristics of an English ale, but also those of a Scottish ale. Solid burnt malt flavors with a sweet subtle finish are a huge part of this bronze colored dragon slaying elixir. Maltiness, nuttines, smooth caramel, slight wood hints and a smoky tongue make St. George's an ale worth trying. Great stuff, Young’s! Can't wait to try your Christmas Pudding next H-day season (that is if I can ever find it!). "

"This beer poured with a copper to brown colored body topped off with a foamy beige colored head that left next to no lace down the glass. The aroma is light caramel malt, some nutty tones and a definate malt presence. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy and medium bodied with good drinkablily. The flavor is again creamy with some piney and floarl hoppyness coming though as well. A strange slightly metallic fell is noticable throughout the beer, this could be because the bottle has to be close to a year old but it still took a good bbit away from the flavor"

"Rich amber in color with a dark golden edge, the pour leaves a medium thin creamy head and some mild lacing. Aroma is faint, can't pick up any distinct scents. Mouthfeel is just on the watery side at first but finishes a little better with some fullness. Flavor is good nothing too exciting malty with a faint sweet breadiness. Overall a standard representation but nothing special."

"Dark amber colour, creamy mediumsized head, lacing. Fruity bitter aroma with hints of soap. Flavour is hoppy, a bit rubbery and of barnyard. Also some sweetness around, especially in aftertaste. "
