Menabrea 150° Anniversario Ambrata

Enjoyed this one at Epcot Center in Florida on my trip there January 26th, 2019. Amber colour, light beige head with some decent thin creamy lacing. Darker malt aromas with lots of sweetness, notes of molasses and caramel. Crisp mouthfeel and mildly dry. Taste of caramel, but not as sweet as the nose is, as hops are balancing things. A decent amber beer.

330 ml capped bottle. Poured a clear mid-brown coloured Vienna with a short one finger beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is faint caramel malts and... nothing else. The flavour is faint toasted malts, cereals, cooked vegetables, a point of brown sugar. The mouthfeel is crispy, thin and watery. This light bodied Vienna has a dry slight sticky finish. May be a 150 ° Anniversary celebration brew, but the problem is that this bland brew is not the event worth !.

Pours a nice clear darkish amber with a fairly thick ivory-tan head. Aroma is crisp, more fruity than malty, not strong but still appealing. Malty flavor is crisp and a little fruity, nothing special but enjoyable. This makes a good accompaniment to a meal rather than a stand-alone drink. Texture has average body and a decent amount of fizz. Overall, fair to middlin’ and worth at least a try.

Copperish colour with mediumsized head. Aroma of dark bread, maize and malts. Flavour is sweet malty and maizeish. Palate is ok, not as watery as many other Italians sampled at this occasion. Fancy bottle here again, and actually the content was not too bad.

Dark Amber color. Small sized white foamy head, strong lacing. Aroma is bready and sweet. Medium bodied Vienna. Malts are fruity and sweet. Slightly spicy hops. Rather pleasant tasting yet slightly sweet Vienna. A little thin and watery perhaps and it a little sweet for my taste. But it is a nice drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is sweet.

330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Amber colour, large white head. Moderate malty aroma with notes of toffee and some fruity hops. Flavour is moderately malty with some caramel and tolerable hops, but this is really not much more than "average" beer. Some metallic notes in the aftertaste.
