Brown beer, lightly sweet and a special taste of different spices. Winner of "Coq de Cristal" as best Belgian brown beer in 2003

"Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of candi sugar and Belgian malt is quite enticing. Taste is a well balance mix between some huge Belgian malt, candi sugar and some fruit cakes notes which is quite interesting. Body is full with some great carbonation and no alcohol was discernable. Very well done overall apart from being a bit too sweet."

"Dark brown colour, small brown head. Candy sugar, caramel, licorace and some spices in the aroma. Flavour has the same with plum added. Very sweet and spiced beer, This would do as a Christmas beer..."

"hazy dark red-brown colour with a big foamy head, nice lacing, exhuberent aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and licorice, oily and medium-bodied, sweet with some sourness, the finish is bitter/sourish, quite malty and spicy - original but unbalanced and quite cloying"
