A subtle ale... once offered as a dark mild, this pale batch is built for quiet contemplation and conversation with a low key approach, yet sustained nutty, malt flavor. A low alcohol offspring of Old Horizontal, this ale bursts with flavor from the hand pump. Malts: Two imported German malts. Hops: Whole flower German and American.

Cask @ brewery. This is supposed to be the run-off of Old Horizontal but I am doubting that bit of information as it didnt have any tastes of that great brew. Way too light, with the only flavor being sweet malt. Light biscuit flavor as well but I couldn’t even finish it. Waste of time.

Cask at the brewpub... Poured a caramel color with a smooth off white creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, and caramel malt. Nothing over the top anywhere on this brew. Subtle flowery hops, light tartness, mild carbonation. Overall a very mild beer.
