Brewed in late spring and cellard throughout the summer our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany. This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor toa generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, opeen-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinability suited to any festive occasion. Available year round - this beer is too good to have for just one season.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy amber color lager with a medium size foamy head with good retention and not much lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt is really dominant. Taste is more accentuated then expected with huge caramel malt backbone with nice balancing residual sugar aftertaste. Body is full with some limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very well done for the style with great character.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

The aroma is malty and bready as well as sweet with maybe some figs or spice, or even caramel or nutty overtones, coming through that I like and it is very aromatic. The appearance rich to a red copper in color and almost rustic with a medium-sized head on top that is an off-white in color and diminishes to a thin lacing that coats the glass well. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and smooth with very nice sweet malt complexity with not much of any hoppy profile with a palate that is rich and almost creamy and damn nice. The flavor is of sweetness, maltiness, freshly baked bread with maybe a bit of saltiness in the aftertaste with a finish that lingers and is very pleasant with some sweet spice on the very back end. Overall, what a beer this was and I did not expect much from this one but it ended up being a great example of the style and is very smooth and easy to drink even given the 6.0%ABV; awesome beer here for sure! I also would like to add, my bottle says Left Hand Oktoberfest not Tabernash but I do understand these two names are one in the same.

This review is from notes I took a while back. I had this on tap at the Left Hand/Tabernash brewery. Clear deep amber color, thin head, sweet aroma, I think that this is a nice example of an Oktoberfest
