Bottle pours mahogany with tall tan head and effervescents. The aroma is full with dark berries, cherries, candy toffee, dark roastiness and then some mild burnt malts. The taste has a firm thick layer of dark roasted malts moving into burnt malts toward the finish. Underneath the roastiness are sweet smooth notes of berries, cherries, toffee and a mild drying lactose sensation. I think I get a touch of rauch malts in here too. YUM!

Pours coffee brown with a thick, frothy tan head. Aroma offers roasted malt, yeasty, molasses, and subtle mocha notes. Flavor delivers roast malt, molasses, chocolate and quality coffee tones, just like a fine stout should. Mouthfeel features firm, smooth body and jazzy fizz. My goodness, this is good Guinness!

Heavy black pour, beautiful tan flowing head leaving tons of lacing. Deeply toasted malty aroma, near burnt but pleasant, dark chocolates, earthy hops, molasses and hint of licorice. Big stout flavor too: toasted malts, big earthy hops, molasses and slight coffee taste - big and welcoming. Love it, great classic beer.

pours a nice dark color with a nice tan head that sticks around for a while. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. The chocolate stands out more in the taste and has a very noticeable hop finish.

Found at Boston Pizza in Salmon Arm of all places. Wow, I really like, biscuity, little bitter, crackers, really dry, crisp. Really dark black, almost as medium thin as normal guiness but this time seems to be thicker but the hopping makes it even more drinkable. Real winner here, could drink every day!

Wow...this is better than I thought it would be. Don't see why I would want a regular Guinness Extra Stout over this. I cook a lot with these stouts too, so may have to try this one out in a slow roast or something to see if it makes a difference. Thicker than their standard stout, more flavor and better balance. Chocolate stands out more, just all around better. Oh, and it gives you a nicer buzz too :) Up there with my favorite sweet stouts. Will definitely get again.

Pours rather dark, but far from black. Substantial bitter overtones, with a pleasant English ale sweetness that adds to the brew complexity. Body is a little thin, but for the price is a admiral contribution to the drinking day.

Yeah baby. Pours black as night with lacing over lacing for days and days. Amazing lacing, seriously. I've had this before and it is a Guiness on hops. It's hopped up, fortefied, and jimmeyed with extra this and that beyond words. Good stuff, all Guiness should taste like this.

Prior to this, the last time I had a Guinness was a few years ago and I didn't really like it. Foreign Extra Stout, however, is way better than the regular version found on tap everywhere. Full bodied with plenty of hops to go with the bitter, roasted malts. I could see this becoming a regular in my fridge.
