Oct. 2013: 330 ml bottle, vintage 2008, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 12.7%. Cloudy dark brown colour, large beige head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of oak, alcohol and caramel. Warming mouthfeel. Malty flavour, oak and caramel again, but not too sweet for a barleywine. Also notes of dark dried fruits. Oaky and hoppy finish.

Bottled in 2009- Opened in 2014....11.5% ABV- This could probably go on aging another couple years. Very smooth and easy drinking for 11.5. Flavor is there for sure: barley, toffee, light caramel. Also noticing some sweetness, possibly raisons. My neighbor who works at Total Wine & More bought this since it was a 2009. I hope there is another bottle left, because I'll take it!

Bottled (from Kihoskh, Copenhagen). Hazy brownish amber colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some mild alcohol, chocolate and mild yeastyness as well. Flavour is alcohol, roasted notes, liquorice and some chocolate as well. Very well balanced with a nice raisins as well.
