Faithfull Ale is a celebration of Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary as a band and its extraordinary debut album, "Ten." In recognition of these milestones, this Belgian-style golden ale is delicately hopped to 20 IBUs and fruit-forward from 10 incremental additions of black currants over a one-hour boil. Faithfull clocks in at 7% ABV. "To me, 'Ten' is the perfect example of a record-lover's-record. The whole thing rocks," says Dogfish Head President & Founder Sam Calagione. "As an off-centered brewery, we believe in celebrating the breadth of our whole portfolio and we feel an affinity for Pearl Jam a long-player band in a singles-obsessed world." Faithfull Ale is the third beer in our Music Series, following our Miles Davis-inspired Bitches Brew and our beer tribute to blues man Robert Johnson, Hellhound On My Ale.

Beav kinda nailed it - sweet, honey, wheaty:), yeast and fruit forward, but kinda standard, especially for a special release at a premium price. LOVED Bitch's Brew. liked hellhound...this i could pass. possibly my lowest rated DFH beer.

750ml bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow with a medium creamy white head that goes to a thin film that laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet honey wheaty malts with some earthy yeast and a little fruit.

The flavor is sweet honey malts and fruits with an earthy dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly spritzy carbonation.

Overall, a nice belgian with honey and fruit (currants, I assume).

I had this beer for New Years Eve 2010. This beer from DFH is a bit of a disappointment. I thought it was ordinary. I thought a DFH Belgian would be a bit more exciting. Instead, I came away thinking that DFH does BE beers quite poorly. DFH has an outstanding line of core beers. It is times like this when I wish that Sam would just stick to the core beers that he does so amazingly well. This is NOT one of them.

This is the first disappointment I've had with Dogfish. A watered pale amber colored body. A big frothy, off white head rises briefly above. It settles into a medium sized ringlet. Light nose of fruit and yeast. More currant than malt in the tasting. Light bodied.

Crisp aroma is malty and yeasty and has an undertone of - yes, currants. It pours a clear solar yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. Flavor is crisp and malty with yeasty and currant notes, just a little fruity sweetness, and a hint of hoppy bitterness. Smooth, syrupy texture is fairly fizzy and leaves a firm, persistent tingle. Keep on pearl jammin'!

Pours crisp golden yellow with a low white head that dissipates to a ringlet pretty quick. Faint floral aromas. Mouth is full. Flavor is sweet Belgian ale, quite nice.
