William Horace Temple nicknamed Temperance Willie, was a Canadian democratic socialist politician and a temperance crusader. He successfully led the political fight to maintain the prohibition on selling alcohol in Toronto's west-end, winning three referenda in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. It was not until after Temple's death that neighbourhoods in the area finally voted to allow alcohol sales beginning in 1994. This is a prohibition-era, light blonde ale, with just a touch of hops and malty sweetness. Because of its crisp and refreshing finish, subtle hop aroma and malty sweetness- it’s a perfect session beer!

The 3 Brewers, Yonge Street (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
    530ml Draught
    4.00% ABV
    $6.49
The beer poured a translucent metallic gold with red edges, and rocky white head. The aroma was citrus, grains, and some light fruitiness. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was tropical fruit, light grapefruit, and spices.
