Comes out of the tap a very tempting chocolate brown with a nice tan head. Aroma has firm notes of roast malt, chocolate, and caramel with a snip of molasses. Flavor has an overtone of bourbon, plus notes of roasted malt, woody hops, molasses, and caramel. Texture is not as heavy as most imperial stouts I have tried, but it has OK fizz. All around, a good stout.

Pours out 100% black and a light won't shine through it. The aroma is heavy of roasted malt. The is wonderfully thick. The taste is very smooth even though it's not complex. Mostly tastes of roasted malt some coffee & chocolate and a hint of citrus. There was no head so I don't give it a 10 on appearance. But boy this sure is a good smooth imperial stout.
