Goodwood Louisville Lager is the first and only beer brewed with 100% Kentucky-grown grains. And, in a tip of the cap to our Slugger-making neighbors downtown, white ash – common in baseball bats – is used to enhance brewing. This results in a light-bodied, perfectly balanced lager with a sweet finish delivered by those Kentucky grains.

    Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Taps clear solar yellow with a thick and frothy, though not lasting, snow-white head. Aroma is not strong, but invites a taste with crisp malt and a hint of pear. Flavor features crisp, fresh malt plus pear and a hint of - must be the ash. Texture is on the thin side, and fizz is nothing special. Still, goes well with a game on TV.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

pours a rich straw yellow in color, lively carbonation & a soapy looking white head that dissipates at a reasonable pace, leaving almost no lacing. The aroma was a big straw & wood with touches of floral hop as well, almost like an amplified pilsner. The taste follows the aroma as well, with some added mineral & grain notes. Crisp, clean finish with some lemon zest & dry, short aftertaste. The mouthfeel was fairly light bodied with nice carbonation & a pleasant crispness.
