Pours opaque coffee sable with a thick and rather fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma offers coffee, spicy, smoked wood, roast malt and maple syrup notes. This is indeed breakfast in a bottle. Flavor presents spicy, maple, smoky, quality roast coffee and roast malt character plus hints of wood, fruit and chocolate. Mouthfeel features firm, viscous body and good fizz. Beer: It’s not just for breakfast anymore!

Pours dark brown with a small tan head the settles on top of the glass. Some sporadic lacing. Chocolate, coffee and roasted malt aromas. There is also a vegetal smell, akin to that of green peppers. The taste is similar to the smell with the chocolate/coffee roasted malt leading the flavors. I get a bit of smoke, and again, a hint of green pepper. Mouthfeel is full and has a slight creaminess to it. I'm guessing that I'd like this beer a whole lot more if the pepper aroma and flavor wasn't present, but still a good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy brown head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet creamy lactose and bakers chocolate with some smoky roast.

The flavor is sweet creamy chocolate with roasty bbq. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an interesting beer. Lots of sweet and smoky roast, but not a lot of coffee...not sure on the scrapple.
