The third release in our Science is the Art Collection stays with our double IPA theme, but with a twist. We’ve moved away from our house ale yeast in favor of saison’s estery, earthy and spicy notes. We love the way these essential saison characteristics meld with the tropical, fruity, piney and citrusy notes from some of our favorite hops: Mosaic, Equanot, and Simcoe. All of this and some light malts? Blast. Off. Scene Three: The Psychic Laser. The captain is targeted by an unknown force. Is it an attack, or is the psychic laser some strange communion? The story continues in July with Episode Four.

Pours somewhat hazy topaz with a thick, frothy ivory head. Aroma presents citrus, resiny hops, tropical, and subtle fresh malt notes. Flavor yields tangy citrus, piney hops, juicy tropical and fresh malt for a very drinkable IPA. Some fruity sweetness comes through on the back side. Texture offers firm, smooth body and peppy fizz. Get psyched!
