Yes I too am a sucker for a cheap bottle of strong Euro beer, it's always a gamble and more times than not the beer is nothing spectacular. Although this one isn't off the charts by any means It was better than I expected. Sour malty aroma thick and definately European. Hazy golden pour with no head and slow steady carbonation. Really thick and smooth I was blown away at the drinkability, alcohol kick isn't even an issue nicely hidden. Flavor has a medium maltiness to it with a dash of bittering hops. Creamy and filling it tastes pretty darn good. Sweet and mildly complex, I'm not sure this isn't a strong blond ale.

Man, I am sick of these strong lagers from Eastern Europe; they are all the same but I can't stop myself from buying them when I see them at stores. Anyway, the aroma is corny, synthetic, metallic, as well as of sweet malt. The appearance is a pale, golden yellow that is a bit hazy with a head on top that is medium-bodied but carbonated and dissipates quickly as it sits and is a light-white in color. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with not much complexity or balance with a palate that is watery and warm and a bit alcoholic. The flavor is metallic, grainy, as well as oxidized with an aftertaste that is typical to the style with a finish that is hot and alcoholic. Overall, more crap from Eastern Europe here for sure but at least this one is drinkable...

Cloudy golden Lager, that poured not espically pleasing. For a second I thought I had a bad beer, but the head assured me that I was ok. Beer is ok but a bit hopsy, with a bitter finish. All in all not an espically great Lager.

Hazy orange-gold in color, much too cloudy for a beer that isn't bottle conditioned - it almost appeared to be dirty. A very ugly beer to look at. Almost zero in the aroma department - maybe some sour malt...maybe. Big biscuity malt flavor and aftertaste with a slight sour twinge. Light hopping in the finish and aftertaste. The alcohol is also in your face at 7.2%, a smack in the chops for calling this brew ugly I guess.

Clear golden body topped by a thick white lasting head with some lace left on the glass. SLightly sweet and sour fruity malt aroma with a slight yeatiness. Reminds me of a wheat beer. Sweet malty flavor with a slight fruitiness and a touch of bitterness in the rather clean smooth finish. light bodied and smooth.
