Pours a yellowish clear with a 2 finger head that takes its time. Decently carbonated. Aroma is a mixture of malts and stomach acid, just plain unpleasant. Taste is sweet and slightly fruity with a small hint of hops. Unfortunately is suffers from a slight vomit like taste in the background. Finishes off like water. Not good in my opinion. Kinda reminds me of the first time I got drunk and vomited up natural lite and long island ice tea.

I was very excited to try this when I heard Schell's was releasing a grapefruit beer and thought I was lucky to find it on tap locally a couple of months ago. Clear yellow pour, much like a pale lager but with an intense grapefruit aroma. From there, everything goes downhill. Tastes more like a ruby red squirt or some kind of Mike's product than a beer. No bitter grapefruit flavor like the aroma would have you believe. Too sweet to be refreshing. I wonder if they'll bottle this next year--if so, I hope they seriously tweak the recipe.
