This classic oatmeal stout is big. From the thick, rich head to the light coffee aroma and flavor, to the long creamy finish, this beer is as big as a Madison winter is long.

Dark brown/black pour with a small tan head that settles as a ring on top of the glass. Roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate aromas. Tastes as it smells with the coffee having a larger presence on the palate and slight hint of licorice on the finish. Moutheel is barely average for the style and a bit light for my taste. All in all, a solid stout from a very good brewery. I need to make a trip there for beer and disc golfing.

Pours opaque chocolate brown with a very thick light tan head. Rich aroma has notes of roasted malt, quality coffee, charred wood, and semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor has pleasing notes of sweet roast malt, chocolate, quality coffee and molasses. Mouthfeel has firm, smooth body and some decent fizz. Slick and big - enjoy.

A decent stout for sure, very roasty and creamy. Extremely dark color, roasted malts and coffee on the nose, creamy chewy mouthfeel, good full bodied beer. Really good balance on this one between all the burnt flavors, malt and hops, easy to drink.

A really enjoyable stout. Had this at the Ale Asylum brewery in Madison, WI which is a fanstastic place to have some great brews and some pretty good food. Dark color pour with nice tan head, nice lacing, smell of coffee, chocolate. Good beer!

Pours a dark black colour, thick body, with an initially small tan head that quickly dissipates. It leaves behind little evidence of a head. Aromas of espresso beans, chocolate and burned toast. Taste is creamy, black cherry, toast and oak flavors.

Had a glass of this at Come Back In in Madison, WI, and I gotta say WOW! Definitely my favorite EVER draught stout. Deep dark pour with a generous tan head, delicate and persistent lacing, perfect aroma, chocolate and coffee notes, a hearty mouthfeel and a fine finish. Wish I could have had more, but I was driving back to Milwaukee. Don't miss this one!!!
