For this special Xmas blend, our brewmaster selected between barrel-aged Quadrupel on the one hand and young Quadrupel on the other. This beer is brewed from time to time and is not fixed in our assortment. The tannin from the barrels forms a harmonious whole with the rich notes of the special malts in the Quadrupel beer. The combination of the taste of wood aging and the young Quadrupel beer creates a unique and powerful blend. Thanks to the refermentation in the bottle, the taste evolves year after year. Depending on the origin of the barrel, this maturation will bring about different aromas. New wood of American and French origin is used, as well as recycled barrels of Whiskey, Rum, Bordeaux, Calvados, etc.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pours clear sepia with a thick and lasting buff head. Aroma brings tart and sweet dark fruit, mainly fig and plum, plus woody and bourbon tones. Flavor provides fig, plum, raisin, bourbon and oaky tones plus a hint of candi. Texture yields good firm body and lively fizz. Merry X-mas, or whatever you celebrate in December!
