A friend gave me a 12 pack of this for my birthday, I figured "oh hell here we go with another green ass eurolager", but it turns out this one has a little sweetness to it. It's like a Grolsh plant blew up all over a weiss. I love weiss.

Slight undertones of a CD case fresh out of the glove box, it has the color of a polar bears ass in the summer. Slaps you upside the head with a corny lime perfume. I graduated to this beer from the bird bath in woodruff park. I love it.

This is my favorite beer. I usually drink malts because I like hearty beers, but Maredsous is like malt that has been raised up with the very finest ingredients, and care. For some reason I think of a trappist monk caressing a vat of beer like it was a child. 10%ABV never tasted so good zzzzzz....

Average in looks, and head, but has a delicious aroma. The aromatic fizzy head is the best part of this beer. Im not a big fan of "green" beers, and this one is more bitter than my favorite, and most tolerable, Heineken. Its also a bit hard to drink, as it foams the back of your throat almost every sip (until the last few). BTW: Ive never seen it in a twist off bottle. Though its not a heavy beer for some reason this beer is harder to drink on a hot summer day than most dunkel, or ports. It must be the hot foam sensation.

When drinking, and reviewing this brew, and as with all malts one must realize that it is NOT a beer. It is malt liquor. Therefore if you do not like malt liquor, you wont like this brew, so dont even bother. That being said, I love malts, and this one is decent. The aroma is corn, the carbonation is tight, so it goes down smooth. The flavor is sweet corn, and slightly metallic. At 8.0% there is an obvious sacrifice in taste for the alcohol content, but if thats what your after it does the job well.
